Materials List

  • 1 Tbsp. of Honey
  • 2 Tbsp. of olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. of Nutmeg
  • Small bowl or container

How to make a Face Mask for Acne

This mask can be kept for approximately one week unrefigerated. If you would like to make a supply that would last you about one week you can increase the amount by about 2.5.

Homemade Face Mask Instructions

  1. Put your olive oil in a bowl.

  2. Mix the honey in with the olive oil and stir until it is well mixed.

  3. Mix the nutmeg in and stir until it is well mixed.

How to Apply the Homemade Face Mask

Only use this face mask about 2-3 times a week.

  1. Wash and clean your face, and then dry your face thorougly.

  2. Using your fingers or a face mask brush generously apply the mask all over your face.

  3. Leave this mask on for 10-15 minutes.

Note: If the mask does feel tingly at first that is due to the nutmeg. If it starts to burn really badly wash it off right away, but some slight tingling is normal.

  4. Wash the mask off of your face and continue with your normal moisturizing routine.

This DIY beauty recipe sounds so great! With acne-prone skin, it can be never wracking to try store-bought masks because they can really dry out your skin. This recipe looks soothing and calming for your skin!

This is a simple recipe and the ingredients are all gentle and natural and most likely already in your kitchen. I think I would use raw honey for extra goodness! I am wondering if freshly ground nutmeg would work better than the usual? Anyone try this recipe? Thanks for sharing!
