When your skin starts to feel parched, slapping on some body butter can do wonders. Rather than purchasing a pricey one from the store, make this Homemade Body Butter Recipe instead. Filled with natural ingredients, this DIY body butter is actually more affordable than buying one from the store. You can also tailor the recipe to fit your skin’s needs. This tutorial will show you how to make body butter that your skin will love. If you have sensitive skin, the lack of irritating ingredients in this lotion will make your skin happy. Not to mention, the whipped consistency of the lotion makes it pretty fun to use!

From the blogger: "Did you know that conventional body lotions and creams contain a number of toxic ingredients? Even many so-called natural brands have questionable ingredients and cost a small fortune at the stores. You can easily make your own DIY homemade body butter recipe for way cheaper. In fact, my recipe yields about 12 oz (nearly double the amount the natural brand at the health food store) and less than half the price – even at 6.5 oz."

I really love how simple this tutorial is. I dread double boiler methods and this only needs a blender and it's already good to use. What's great about making these is you decide on how much product you want to make and you know what's in your jar or moisturizer.

I love using body butter now and then because it's more moisturizing than regular body lotion. Who would've guessed that it's so simple to make? I might even try using cocoa butter instead of or along with shea butter because cocoa butter adds a wonderful glow to your complexion. It has a pleasant fragrance too!
