I really like this idea. It is a good way to put those small things like Q-tips and small nail files, scissors, etc. It keeps the things off the counter. It does not look hard to do and you can paint the wood any color you want or keep it natural. You can nail it into the wall , if the property is yours, or add hangers on the back of the wood. If you use tin cans, you can always cover them. Great idea.

I cannot wait to make this to organize my kitchen utensils. I need something larger than what I have or something like this with multiple cans. I love how easy it is to customize this project to fit into any design in your kitchen. You can wrap, paint, or magnetize the cans to fit your needs.

Our wonderful friend, Jan, is going to LOVE this! Her bathroom is even tinier than ours and she is, let us say, completely DIY challenged. I am going to make her a double layer because she has quite a lot of wall space and has a LOT of stuff needing storage.

I really like the look of this organizer, but I don't like the idea of using the tin cans. My can opener cuts off the top, so I'm not worried about jagged edges, but I am thinking I will look into one of the mason jar organizers because it doesn't look like you have to screw them on to the wood. Has anyone made this, and do you know how sturdy it is? I will figure something great out, I'm sure!

I love this idea! What a great way to organize your bathroom supplies!

This is a rather practical project and using tin cans makes for a sturdy design. I can see this as something used on the garage or workshop as a tool, sorter, but for those who like a more industrial, look, it could work in the bath or office as well. You could swap out the tin cans for some other containers that are upcycled like plastic jars, vases or large tumbler. Up cycling is always a good thing!
