From the blogger: "I found an old drawer in a local dumpster and transformed it into some really handy storage for my bathroom. I loved the original old blue handle on the drawer so I kept that as it was. I painted the drawer and decoupaged some vintage whale graphics to the bottom of the drawer. I also added an extra shelve made from scrap wood and cleverly held in place with picture eyelets. This upcycled cabinet looks fabulous in my bathroom as the rustic look balances out the rooms rather clinical decor."

Now this is really clever and anything that can be upcycled is a winner. I did this with a similar project and limed the back with beautiful wallpaper I,had and it looks just great! You could also, put a mirror for the back of the shelf, or even just mirror mosaic pieces, or small squares taken from old makeup compacts would work, great project idea!

This is such a great idea! I love repurposing items, so I will need to keep this project in mind.

What a great idea! I have a decorative drawer like this that I use as an organizer, but I love the idea of hanging it like this for shelf space. I'll totally have to try this!

I really like this idea. I have an old night stand in the a rage that I just couldn't bring myself to toss out. The out side is damaged but the two draws are in great shape. They are long and narrow. I am thinking twin wLl hangings with a picture or wall vase in between. Thanks for the great inspiration!
