Painted DIY Mason Jar Soap Dispenser

The possibilities for this project are truly endless! We love the idea of putting this soap dispenser in a guest bathroom or master bathroom. If you're embracing the current trend of farmhouse chic, then this is a cost-effective way to add a perfect rustic touch. You could also include this craft in a housewarming gift basket for a friend. Combine it with your favorite homemade soap, some candles, or an essential oil diffuser, and you have the perfect way to say "welcome home" to a friend.

Instructions

  1. Remove the lid from your jar and paint three coats of your base color that you want to see under your top coat.

  2. Once dry, paint two coats of your second color overtop of your first and allow to dry completely.

  3. Carefully sand your jar until the inner color comes through. Sand the label, and sand randomly on the sides and edges until you're satisfied with the look of your mason jar.

  4. Dust the jar off, fill it with soap, screw on your insert, and enjoy your beautiful rustic jar soap dispenser!

These mason jar soap dispensers are cute enough for your basic upcycling project, but sometimes I like to have a lot more fun with mine. Mason jars are seriously cool and can be turned into almost anything, and used to store everything else just about! I do love adding designs to mine whenever I make them, though. They are always way too much fun, and make awesome gift ideas, as well!
