Rather than purchasing another generic bath mat, try tackling this DIY bathroom project. This Beginner Woven DIY Bath Mat is an adorable piece to plop in your bathroom. You actually don’t need any needles for this project since it’s a finger-knit mat. The end result is a bulky woven bath mat that is soft and feels like a cushion, perfect for stepping out of a bath. It’s also a fun way to get into finger knitting for those who have never tried it before. You can also use the same technique to make an area rug, too.

What a different idea to make a bathroom rug and looks like it would be fun. Finger knitting. Never tried it but has a great tutorial to show you how this is done. I need a rug for my bathroom that is super small and I have a hard time finding one. I love that you can choose your own fabric yarn colors and make it to the size you need. I bet it feels soft to. I think I will try grey and black for mine. What about you?

This woven bath mat looks awesome! We still have the bath mat my husband had before we were together, and while it is serves its purpose, I feel like this bath mat would add some simple charm to our bathroom. I would love to see what other colors are available for the yarn! The post also mentions making an area rug the same way. If you were to do this, would you need a bigger loom?

I bet this mat feels soft. I don't have any experience in finger knitting but this is s great opportunity to learn. Bathmats sometimes don't blend in with the theme of the bathroom and it just sucks. Am so glad I found this idea because I can finally make a mat that blends in just right.

This bathmat, although it looks really nice is a lot of work. The finger knitting is easy but then you have to make a loom. I can see going through all that work if you are going to make a few of them but not for just one.
