While it is important to protect your skin from the sun, some store-bought sunscreens are chock-full of dangerous chemicals. If you want to go the natural route for your skincare, try this Non-Toxic Natural Sunscreen Recipe. It contains zinc oxide, which helps physical sunscreens block UV rays. Unlike some store-bought physical sunscreens, this DIY sunscreen contains zinc particles that won’t absorb into your skin and enter the bloodstream. Now you can protect your skin without having to worry about the intimidating side effects of most commercial sunscreens. For maximum sun protection, reapply this natural remedy every few hours.

I love the idea of making homemade sunscreen. We all know how important sun protection is, but sometimes I wonder if I'm doing my skin any favors by putting chemically products on it to try to protect it from the sun. Love this solution!

I am so trying this recipe! Right now, since I have had skin cancer in the past, I am supposed to wear it every day and hour. I have trouble with the sunscreen blocking my pores and causing breakouts, so I do not use it like I ought to. Plus the fact that that little tube is expensive!

I found the article written by this Blogger to be very interesting and thought inspiring. When I first saw this recipe, I was inclined to think it was just another natural remedy that probably didnt work. But the writer explains it all so well and it really makes sense. Ive bookmarked this Blog for future perusal as I feel she has some very interesting recipes to share.

This is an excellent article and recipe. As a cancer survivor, I don't like puttin chemicals on me or in me. The comments about Vitamin D are so true. I was prescribed extra Vitamin D and we do need to absorb it through the the sun. I love the fact that the zinc is not taken in. Coconut oil is very beneficial as well. Thanks for a great alternative sunscreen formula!
