The addition of peppermint oil makes this recipe sound SO soothing for sunburned skin. I'll definitely have to try some of this.

Well this sunburn relief comes at the right time of the year when it finally feels good enough to go outside in the garden or on vacation and get that sunburn. If you are like me and hate to buy store bought creams that you do not kow what is in it then make your own. Vitimin E which hydrates skin, lavender for relief and peppermint for cooling. Be careful how much you use of this though. I love using essential oils because they havegreat health values. Why not make some extra for family and friends too.

I burn all the time, even in the winter months, if I am outside for more than 15 minutes at a time. I always try to remember the long sleeves and hat but sometimes it is a spur of the moment when I just have to get outside for a little bit. Having a recovery gel will make it easier for those times I get in a hurry and forget those other precautions.
