  1. Using a grill scraping brush, scrape your grill while it is still hot.

  2. Wet a paper towel, and use some tongs to hold it. 

  3. Using the paper towel wipe around the grate of the grill while it is still hot. This helps to get into the grooves of the grate. 

  4. Allow your grate to cool.

I would have never thought to scrape the grill while it was still hot! I definitely would have waited for it to cool down, so that is a great tip!

I agree with scraping the grill with a brush whilst still hot but something else you can do is rub it with a lemon. Slice your lemon in half. If the grill is too hot then hold the lemon with your tongs and rub and down the grill before you rub it down with the brush. The acidity in the lemon loosens the dirt. You can also do this before you start grilling.
