From the blogger: "Every once in a while you just need a change. My bedroom had been the exact same for about 5 years and to be honest it was getting a little boring. I wasn’t about to completely redo it, but I did want to spruce it up. The biggest and best addition to my room was the DIY under the bed lighting. I am in love with this look. When I lay in bed, they give off the perfect amount of light and make the room look so pretty. It also is great for guiding your way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Really, I think everyone needs this in their life."

Okay sign me up. Where can I find these lights? This is a great idea to give that little bit of light needed when you get up in the middle of the night to go to bathroom or check on the baby or kids and do not want to trip or turn on a big light. Also to keep your kids from those nigtmares of sleeping in the dark. I can see these in all the bedrooms. Just make sure you have an easy way to reach to turn them off when needed.

This is very cool! My bed is not like this, but I am sure I will be able to figure out how to do something like this. I think the problem I will run into is that I have a ton of stuff under my bed that would need to go somewhere else. It would be dangerous to have the lights on around all the stuff.

This is perfectly cool! When you look at it, the bed looks expensive. My kids would love to have lights under the bed during the night.

Very cool idea! As a perhaps safer alternative, you could use a battery operated set of LED lights, even electric set of LED lights which are cool to the touch. Especially pretty would be those light sets that come with color change options! For a slumber party, get a light set that twinkles or chases in a pretty design. Nice idea and so practical, and pretty too!

My first thought when I see this is What a great solution for issues with monsters under the bed! I love the idea, but I am always worried about fire. I dont think I would be comfortable with the wire being between the mattress and the frame. Over time, friction could damage the coating on the wire and create a real hazard. An alternative would be to secure the lights beneath the frame, maybe using tea cup hooks or something similar.

What a marvelous idea. My bed frame is different, mine is a metal mesh type but I think I can get it to work. I may have to change the lights into smaller LED lights like Christmas lights to fit them in. But the effect will be the same. And it's really nice to think about having low light at night so I can see my way to the bathroom.
